Guggenheim: Final Shoot Update

If you’ve been keeping up with my posts, you’ll see that Jeff Cioletti and I are currently filming and editing a film for my brother and his partner in crime called Guggenheim.
This past Sunday, we had the final shoot. There was lots of skin, underwear and bad innuendos but the shoot went well. You could almost classify it as pickups. There wasn’t much dialogue.
This was the final shoot with a full crew. There’s still one more scene that needs to be shot but it’s small and can be done with 1-2 people. That should be in the can by th end of the month. Then we move on to post production.
Jeff and I will begin importing footage and editing as soon as he gives me the word. I like to move quickly. The plan is to throw it together quickly, ourselves, and then present that to Mark and Phil (Director and Producer). From there, they can start up the peanut gallery and we’ll accomodate them.
Too many cooks in an editing room is NEVER a good thing. Jeff and I have a good rhythm now that we’ve worked together and we know how to get the job done together. One more person in the room will drastically change the whole dynamic so I told Jeff we should really just hammer it out in a day or two together and then see how they like what we’ve done. We can change things from there.
Anyhow, the film is nearing completion and I think it’s going to come out pretty good in the end. I’m going to compile some production materials and cobble together a quick site with photos/stills, cast and crew bios, and maybe a trailer if we have time to throw one together. A poster might be needed too…we’ll see if I have time or if they give me one.
